The Modest Budget: Purchases I Don't Regret + Some Announcements!

Happy November!
Accidentally crammed so so many trends into this one outfit. Whoops!;)
I've had this B&W plaid shirt since pre-college, and I have worn it so much. The fit makes it so easy to wear it with almost anything!
The bright orange cardi is JCrew, and still available (the only expensive part about this outfit;)

Oh, and these fabulous olive pants??? #THRIFTED! They were a little bit pricier for thrift, but $6.98?? Still a total steal.

These wine sneaker pumps are probably one of my best purchases ever. From Target maybe? I've had them for years and years, but somehow this color is never out of style. They're great for adding a casual touch while still being pumps. (I got these for like $25, but I have also found some at the thrift store!)
This bag from Sage and Harper was a gift a few years ago, but if you follow The Modest Budget on Instagram you have seen me use it a lot lately. Like, all.the.time. That's why I hardly ever get rid of bags: just pack 'em away for a couple months/years, and it's like getting a brand new bag when you "rediscover it" later.
Top: Old... Target? (Similar on sale! < $25)
Cardi: J Crew (on sale!)
Pants: Thrifted; $7 (similar & similar < $20)
Sneaker Pumps: Target; $25 (no longer sold) (similar, but pricey)
Bag: Sage & Harper; gift (same, whole site on sale!!!)
I just don't get tired of fall tones... Do you???

Outfit aside, I have some announcements!

First, one of my dreams for this blog is to celebrate other outfits that are modest and budget-friendly! So starting next week I'll hopefully be featuring YOUR outfits, too!
The only ones that will be featured are the ones that are modest and easy on the wallet. Don't forget to let me know where you got it!

Tag me on Instagram #TheModestBudget to be featured
on Instagram and the blog next week!

Second, I finally opened my online knitting shop on Facebook!
I'm selling wash rags and taking custom orders for baby blankets and throw blankets. So, go check it out!;)

Thanksgiving is right around the corner, and I can't wait! What are you looking forward to in November?

  13. What a cute outfit! I love the bag and thought I was the only one who kept bags for years. I have 6 Etienne Aigner purses I got for steal some of them are from when I was in middle school in the 80's. The oldest one my best friend gave me in middle school. A little leather conditioner and it looks brand new when I pull it out to use. Congratulations on your knitting shop - I'm a knitter too! Thanks for sharing with Thankful Thursdays.
