The Modest Budget: When my Husband Shops at Field & Stream

Happy Tuesday!
I'm co-hosting with Jessica at The J Petite & the ladies at Pucker Up Style for their weekly link up!

We're talking 'bout coats today... and this is one that Jon brought me home as a surprise a couple of weeks ago! What always surprises me most, though, is how well he can pin my funky style (or maybe anything pink just makes him think of me 😉)

Are you surprised he bought this at Field and Stream?? I mean, it is Columbia. But we both like having a Field and Stream nearby. And when my husband shops at Field and Stream, he always comes home with something for me, too. 😊
Jacket: Columbia (black version) / Jeans: H&M (only $40!) / Booties: Old Navy

Not only is the colored pattern groovy, but the coat is built kind of boxy, and it doesn't have buttons, so it makes it perfect for those nights when you want something warm and cozy that makes you feel bundled up.

I wore it with some high-waisted skinnies from H&M. They have a rough hem at the bottom that I really like, and I wear them when I want to feel like I have long legs instead of short ones, lol! Surprisingly, two of my favorite pairs of jeans have come from H&M, including my distressed jeans.
Ya'll have seen me wear this scarf repeatedly, but I just can't get enough of it. It's the perfect mix of warm and cute, so it's always around my neck.

This weekend was a weird one because Jon had to work all day Saturday... but this is my last week of school for the year, and I'm so excited! It always feels good to get off on Christmas break and finally be able to do nothing but get into the Christmas spirit. But ya'll, pray for me; not sure I'm going to pass this statistics class! (This gal is not a stats gal!)

Jon and I have got out tree up and lit, and maybe we'll finally get to putting ornaments and tinsel on there this week. We started our Christmas movie marathon-ing started last night with one of Jon's favorites: Home Alone!

What are ya'll doing to get into the Christmas season?
What's your favorite Christmas movie??
