The Modest Budget: Date Day in Williamsburg

So now that Thanksgiving is over, can we start staying Merry Christmas???
This time of year always goes by so fast with all the holidays and celebrating. To be honest, I didn't do homework for 5 whole days (a decision I now regret, but I don't believe that homework should be given over the holidays anyways, so I was protesting) and spent the entire long weekend with Jon and family. It was wonderful having him home a couple of extra days!

Instead of shopping on Black Friday, we went to Williamsburg for the afternoon. It turned out to be a great decision, because the whole place was in that lovely stage in between fall and Christmas! The fall leaves were still (mostly) on the trees, but everything was already decked out in wreaths and red bows. It was beautiful.
The weather was perfect for a cute fall outfit, too (i.e., it wasn't so cold that I was just a huddled, waddling bundle of scarf and coat and boots and hat!).
Pants: Thrifted
Purse: Vera Bradley (exact purse ON SALE! < $25!)
Shoes: Highland Creek (similar to Sperry's)
We had a great Thanksgiving, and as of Saturday, we have a brand new family member!!! But you'll have to wait til Friday to hear about that 😉

Don't forget, if ya'll tag your modest budget-friendly outfits with #TheModestBudget on Instagram, I'll feature you here and on Insta next week!!!
