5 Reasons You Should "Babymoon" (and 4 cheap ways to do it!)
I know "babymoons" haven't always been this super trendy thing, but I can't understand why! Getting away for a quick weekend before the Little Dude gets here was one of the best things we have done to get ready (arguably the best thing! Read about it here!).

"Babymooning" in the Outer Banks!
I honestly had never heard of a "babymoon" until two or three years ago, but their trendiness seems to be on the rise! I think for some great reasons, too. Our babymoon to the Outer Banks totally helped us feel more relaxed and relationally ready to welcome our son into the world in the next couple of weeks!

Keeping Up with the Capra's: Weekend Trips, Food Blog Angels, and a Talented Sister
Happy Friday!
It's already the third week in November... crazy!
This week has been a hectic one, mostly consisting of catching up on late homework (oops) and avoiding my sink full of dirty dishes (double oops), but it's been a good one! Jon has off this weekend, and that was unplanned. So I'm looking forward to finishing my homework this afternoon and then enjoying the rest of the weekend!
Wanna know what else we've been up to this month?

Keeping Up with the Capra's: Bahamas Anniversary Cruise!
It's Friday!
Welcoming the end of this week with open arms... it's been a rough one, ya'll!
I don't have anything really interesting to share from this week (besides being super excited that I spent basically the whole week cleaning my house and it feels so good to be done!) so I thought I'd share pictures from our trip last week!
We drove the 14 hours down to Florida, but enjoyed the trip... Even though we were both a little tired of driving so much for work, Florida is one of our favorite places to go.
And who can be cranky on the way to Florida???
Cruises are one of my favorite ways to vacation because you just sit back and relax and explore the ship... you don't have to worry about transportation, or traffic, or getting somewhere on time, or finding something to do. It's all right there! So I was very excited for Jon's first cruise (and our first cruise together).
Neither of us knew what to expect once we got to the Bahamas, but once we got there, it was nothing but relaxing. We sat in beach chairs, ate conch fritters (omg, so good), walked around local shops, and sat in the beach chairs some more!
Also wore my new kimono from Shop Sevan a lot! It was great as an outfit piece, but as a swimsuit cover, too!
This outfit on the right? My favorite Bahamas outfit! Read about it here!
Eating fresh coconuts... I've always wanted to try some!
Our anniversary dinner... And even without our wedding bands it's obvious we're married!
We had an absolutely fabulous time. After two nights on the island and one more night on the boat, we were back in Florida and on our way back to Virginia. It was probably the best vacation I have been on... And we got back ready to settle into our home (finally!) and start preparing for the fall semester.
This week has been spent cleaning and enjoying our last week of summer before fall classes start. I had a few simple goals for the remainder of this month, and so far I'm making great progress. Next week, as classes begin, hopefully I'll be able to finish them up and begin teaching myself how to cook!
How have you been spending August?

The Modest Budget: Summer Date Day in Annapolis
Instead of going home on the weekends, Jon and I are staying up in Maryland until we finish this job. This means we have more time to study/do homework, but it also means we can have some time to go exploring a little bit, too!
This past Saturday we took a much-needed date day to Annapolis, MD. We're been working 12- to 14-hour days, so even though we are up here together, we haven't been able to spend a lot of relaxed time together.
It was so refreshing to have some time together (and just check out the hot lunch date I had! *all the heart eyes*)

We walked up and down streets, wandered around the Naval Academy, bought some t-shirts, and admired expensive clothes. To finish it off, we drank Starbucks on the steps while we watched this adorable kid named Tad play the ukulele.
My long sleeves probably weren't ideal for a day in the sunshine, but the lightweight fabric was perfect. And how fun are these neon shorts? Quickly becoming my favorites; I'm finding they go with almost anything! (Both things were from a year or two ago, so I linked some similar looks below!)
It was a great date day and the most restful weekend we've had in a while. I love married adventures!
How was your weekend? Do anything crazy?;)
